1. How long does it take to measure a building and also to receive final deliverables once measuring has been done?

For measuring we average 3,000 to 8,000 sq ft per hour depending on the building layout and accessibility. Our turn-around time on deliverables is approximately 1 - 2 weeks for our largest jobs. Smaller jobs can be turned around within about a week.

2. Do you need access to mechanical rooms? Basements? High-Security Areas?

Yes, we need access to all rooms that you would like to have included in the final plans or in the square footage analysis. We are usually escorted into high-security areas by a building representative.

3. Are you insured?

Yes, we carry liability insurance, typically well in excess of client requested limits.

4. Do you find a building's Rentable Square Footage (RSF) generally increases or decreases after a resurvey, and by how much?

Usually RSF increases because most surveys are based off tax records which tend to be estimated below the actual sqaure footage.

5. We have some existing AutoCad files on our building, but we're not sure how accurate they are. What options do we have?

We will verify your current Auto-Cad dimensions and will update your electronic files to address observed discrepancies at an affordable price.

6. I have a building to measure, but it is not near one of your current offices. Can you do it?

Absolutely! Measure Dynamics offers nationwide service.

7. Do you charge by the type of building, by the hour or by the project?

We charge by the square foot. Our easy "package pricing" is favored among our clients.

8. If you have to make several return trips to my building, is that going to cost me more?

Any return trips we make to your building are included in your original estimate.

9. Do you require an up-front deposit?

Any building over 100,000 square foot requires a deposit to defray project costs prior to project commencement.

10. What is a BOMA Square Footage Analysis?

BOMA Standards are the "rules" that we use when measuring an office space. Using these guidence standards, we will measure the entire building to assess the Rentable Square Footage for each suite. This is calculated mathematically from several different measurements of the building. The final deliverables will include a spreadsheet breakdown of the "analysis" in addition to the floorplan drawings.
